Thanks J B for introducing us to great Southern cooking and BBQ. The fabulous ribs were only outdone by Jim’s charm and generosity. It was a highlight of our USA road trip, so easy going and fun. Perhaps the slogan should read, ‘The flavour’s in the meat, the sauce is on the side and a generous helping of friendliness comes free?’ Guess what? We posted you a Christmas Pudding today – hope it gets to you in time. Remember, its very rich, a small slice is enough but you can reheat it again, covered and with a little spoon of sherry, rum, brandy or whatever. All the best, Jane and Eric.

Locals and former neighbors introduced us to this gem. ‘Delicious buffet from start to finish! Chicken, pulled pork, pork loin….and a special treat. . . Ribs. We loved Jim and Diane and the gang. Great sauces. My fav is Momma’s Honey Spice ( hope that is right) Anyway a universal yummy award comes with these kudos. Thanks all. See you next trip!

The ribs, brisket, and fried chicken are the best I have ever eaten. Mama’s Sweet and Spicy sauce is divine. I can make an entire meal off the vegetables. I take all of my out of town guests there. Diane’s
personality is even better than the food.

The past two years my son has picked JB’s to have his birthday dinner while we are on vacation at Seabrook Island. The BBQ is great and the people are even better. We always do take out so we can get back to the beach. JB’s even included a little extra birthday surprise for my son. If you are looking for good bbq and great southern hospitality in this area then JB’s is the place.

Was in town for business and someone suggested I go there. Best suggestion I heard all week. Great food at a great price with great hospitality. And he was right about the brisket. It was awesome.

I’m originally from Atlanta and have lived in Charleston for 5 years. JB’s has the BEST bbq in Charleston and very comparable to my fav spot back in Georgia. Only complaint is they arent open all week cause I always crave it!
